Frequently Asked Questions
What toner cartridges does the C531d use?
Your C531d takes the OKI 44469701 (black), 44469702 (cyan), 44469703 (magenta) and 44469801 (yellow) toner cartridges. Since each color loads separately, you only ever replace the one that is empty.
Any tips for cheaper color printing on the C531d?
Print everyday documents in black only on the C531d so the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges last longer, and keep a spare black (44469701) on hand since it runs out first. Genuine OKI toner also avoids the reprints and mess that bargain cartridges can cause.
When one color runs out in the C531d, must I change the rest too?
No — each cartridge in the C531d works independently, so you only replace the color that runs out. The other three keep working until they are spent.
