Frequently Asked Questions

How can I tell the yellow cartridge is empty when yellow barely shows on paper?

Yellow is the hardest color to judge by eye because a yellow-only test patch looks faint even when the cartridge is healthy. Judge it by what it does to other colors instead: when greens turn blue and warm photos lose their glow, yellow is usually the one that has faded. This 44469719 is the high-yield yellow for the family, rated at 5,000 pages, so replacements should be rare events.

Which printers take this cartridge?

It is listed for the Oki C530dn and C531dn printers and the MC562w, MC890 and MC950 multifunction models. If the supply list on your machine names 44469719 at the yellow position, this is the matching cartridge.

Why choose the high-yield yellow over a standard one?

Frequency of interruption. Yellow participates in almost every color mixture, so it drains steadily even in offices that think of themselves as light color users. A 5,000-page fill means the yellow position is opened far less often over the printer's life.

Is this an original Oki product?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the original's fit and yield specification and sold under our Clever Supplies brand. In our Okidata range it costs $29.85, roughly 0.6 cents per rated page.

Can I install it without changing the other colors?

Yes. The yellow position is independent of the other three, so you can swap this cartridge on its own the moment prints show it fading, and leave cyan, magenta and black exactly where they are.

What warranty and returns cover it?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, as set out in our shipping and returns policy. We deliver from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses — whichever is closest to you — and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
