Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this cartridge called a Type C17?

Type C17 is the family name Oki uses for this cartridge generation. The family is sold under four part numbers — 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 — and this listing is the 44469801 cartridge, in black. If your printer's supply list shows the Type C17 name rather than a long part number, this is the black cartridge it is referring to.

How many pages does one cartridge print?

It is rated at 3,500 pages. That rating assumes standard test coverage, so an office printing mostly text documents will land close to it, while pages heavy with graphics and solid fills will finish the cartridge sooner.

Which printers take this black cartridge?

Among others, it is listed for the Oki C330dn, C331dn, C530dn and C531dn printers, plus the MC362W, MC562w, MC890 and MC950 multifunction models. Only the black position uses it — the color positions in the same machines take their own cartridges from the same Type C17 family.

Is this a genuine Oki cartridge?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the same fit and page-yield standard as the 44469801 original, and sold under our own Clever Supplies name at our Okidata range. You get the same 3,500-page black cartridge without the original-brand price tag.

What does the printing cost work out to?

At $27.58 for a 3,500-page rating, the running cost is roughly 0.8 cents per page for black printing — the kind of figure that makes this cartridge easy to justify for everyday document work.

What protection do I get if something goes wrong?

The cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns under our shipping and returns policy. Orders ship from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is closest to you, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Type C17 Black Cartridge

Some Oki owners shop by part number and some shop by the Type C17 family name — this listing covers both, since it is the 44469801 black cartridge from the family that also includes 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703. It is a single black cartridge rated at 3,500 pages, priced at $27.58, for machines such as the C330dn, C530dn and MC562w. As a compatible cartridge it carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and it ships from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses with support on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
