Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this the high-yield version of the 44469721 cyan cartridge?

The 44469721 number identifies the larger fill in this cartridge family. This cyan is rated at 5,000 pages under standard test coverage, so it keeps printing well past the point where a standard-capacity cartridge would have stopped. The cartridge body and fit are the same idea — the difference is simply how much toner is inside.

How long does 5,000 pages of cyan actually last?

That depends entirely on how much blue your documents carry. An office printing mostly black text with the occasional logo or chart may get many months out of one cyan cartridge, because color toner is only consumed when color appears on the page. A studio printing full-color proofs every day will move through it considerably faster.

Which printers does this cyan cartridge belong to?

It is listed for the Oki C530dn and C531dn printers, and for the MC562w, MC890 and MC950 multifunction models. If your machine's supply list shows 44469721 for the cyan position, this is the cartridge that number describes.

My blue tones are coming out streaky — is the cyan cartridge done?

Streaks and faded bands in blues and greens are the classic signs of a color cartridge nearing empty, especially when black text on the same page still looks crisp. Before replacing, run the printer's cleaning cycle once; if the streaks persist in the same colors, the cartridge is the likely cause.

Is this an original Oki cartridge?

No — this is a compatible cartridge built to the same fit and yield standard, sold under our own Clever Supplies name. You will find it in our Okidata range at $29.85, which works out to roughly 0.6 cents for every page of its 5,000-page rating.

What protection do I have if this cartridge fails early?

It is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, set out in our shipping and returns policy. Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is closest to you, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
