Frequently Asked Questions
Does the MC562dnw use the same toner as the C511DN?
Yes. The MC562dnw is the multifunction version of the same engine and uses the identical cartridge set: black 44469801, cyan 44469701, magenta 44469702, and yellow 44469703.
Can I still scan and fax on the MC562dnw when a toner cartridge is empty?
Yes. Scanning, copying to a file, and fax reception to memory do not need toner. Only printing and copying are blocked when a cartridge is depleted, so keep a spare of each color if the machine is your office's main fax receiver.
My MC562dnw says toner is low but prints still look fine. Should I replace it now?
Not yet. The low-toner warning on the MC562dnw is an estimate, and you can usually print many more pages before quality drops. Keep a replacement cartridge on hand, then swap it when prints actually start fading.
