Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is inside this MC351DN four-color set?

Four cartridges: one black and one each of the three colors, each sealed in its own wrapping inside the one box. The black is rated at 3,500 pages and each color at 3,000 pages. Together they correspond to Oki part numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703, taken as a group. At $64.38 the set works out to roughly $16.10 per cartridge, which is why most MC351DN owners restock this way instead of chasing single cartridges.

Can I open the box and use only the cartridge I need today?

Yes — that is the normal way to use it. Because each cartridge is sealed separately, you can install just the empty color and shelve the other three. Unopened cartridges keep fine in a cool, dry drawer away from direct sunlight, so the set works as your own small stockroom for the MC351DN.

How do copies made on the MC351DN affect toner use?

Copies come off the same cartridges as prints do — there is no separate copy toner. A morning of photocopying color handouts draws on the three color cartridges rated at 3,000 pages each, while black-and-white copying draws on the 3,500-page black. If your MC351DN does double duty as the office copier, plan your reorders around combined print-plus-copy volume, not print volume alone.

What do the page ratings actually assume?

The 3,500-page black rating and 3,000-page color ratings follow the industry convention of measuring at about 5% coverage of the page. Dense graphics, full-color backgrounds and photo-heavy pages use considerably more toner per sheet, so real-world counts land lower; light memos and emails land higher. The ratings are best used to compare cartridges against each other, not as a per-box guarantee.

What if one cartridge in the set is faulty?

Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a defective unit is replaced or refunded rather than becoming your loss. You do not need to send back the whole set because of one bad cartridge. Details live on our Shipping & Returns page.

How quickly will I reach support if something looks wrong?

Our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders themselves ship out of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, so most addresses are only a short ground route away from one of the four.
