Frequently Asked Questions
My C9800N's colors look washed out — will a fresh set fix that?
If the fading tracks with low or aging toner, yes: a full set replaces all four cartridges — the 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 and 42918904 group — so weak colors get fresh toner across the board. If output stays washed out after a full refresh, the cause sits elsewhere in the machine (drums and transfer components wear on their own schedule), and fresh toner at least rules out the most common explanation first.
What does the set include?
Black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges, one of each, every one rated at up to 15,000 pages. The set is $292.17, roughly $73.04 per cartridge.
Should I swap all four at once when diagnosing faded output?
For diagnosis, one at a time is smarter: change the weakest color first and print a test page, so you learn which position was responsible. The remaining sealed cartridges keep on the shelf until needed — a set supports either approach.
Which printers does this set fit?
It is catalogued for the C9800N and the related Oki C9600hdn, C9600hn, C9600n and C9800hdn. Matching the part numbers 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 and 42918904 to your installed cartridges confirms it.
Are these genuine Oki cartridges?
They are compatible cartridges made to the 42918901-series specifications, backed by our one-year warranty. Returns are free for a year under our shipping and returns policy, so trying a refresh carries little risk.
How fast can I get a set?
We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA. Support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want to describe the print problem before ordering.
