Frequently Asked Questions
How do I budget toner for a C9600N over the year?
Start from the rating: each cartridge in this set is good for up to 15,000 pages, and the box costs $292.17. Estimate your monthly page count, and you can predict roughly how many sets a year the printer will consume — light offices may run a set for many months, while a busy team will plan on several.
What does one cartridge effectively cost?
Averaged across the four, about $73.04 per cartridge. That average hides nothing: the set is priced as a bundle, so the per-cartridge figure is simply the $292.17 divided by the four colors in the box.
What does the set include?
One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow cartridge, all from the 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 and 42918904 family, each sealed and each rated at up to 15,000 pages. It is the complete toner complement for the printer in one delivery.
Which printers is this family made for?
The Oki C9600hdn, C9600hn and C9600n, plus the C9800hdn. If the cartridge coming out of your machine shows 42918901, 42918902, 42918903 or 42918904, you have the right set.
Can I install the cartridges as each one runs out?
Yes, and that is how most C9600N owners do it. The black typically empties first under document printing; the colors follow at their own pace. There is no need to retire a cartridge that still has toner in it just because its neighbour ran dry.
What warranty and returns come with it?
One-year warranty and one-year free returns on all four compatible cartridges — the full terms are on our shipping & returns page. Orders are sent from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California sites, and help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
