Frequently Asked Questions

Is it worth putting a fresh four-color set in an older C510?

For most owners, yes. At $64.38 for all four cartridges — roughly $16.10 each — a full toner refresh costs a small fraction of replacing the printer, and a C510 with healthy drums prints perfectly well on fresh toner. If the machine itself is mechanically sound, this set is the economical way to keep it earning its desk space.

What yields should I expect from the set?

The black cartridge is rated at up to 3,500 pages and each color cartridge at up to 3,000 pages, on the standard 5% coverage basis. We quote the classes separately rather than adding them into one big number, because black and color toner get consumed at very different rates in real offices.

Why do the color cartridges drain when I mostly print black text?

Color printers cycle and calibrate their color units even during monochrome work, and many documents that look black-and-white quietly use color toner for shading and graphics. That is why a complete set makes sense for the C510: the colors are rarely as full as they appear.

Which Oki part numbers does this set replace?

The four cartridges correspond to part numbers 44469801, 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703. If your C510's cartridge labels or manual list those numbers, this is the matching set — ordering by part number is the surest way to avoid model-name mix-ups.

Do I have to install all four cartridges the day the box arrives?

No. Swap whichever cartridge the printer flags as empty and store the rest, sealed, in a cool dry place away from direct light. Unopened cartridges keep well, so the set works as a small on-shelf reserve for the C510.

What backing does a compatible set like this carry?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, as set out on our shipping & returns page. Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
