Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check the toner level on the M602n before it becomes urgent?

Two ways: the printer's own control panel shows a supplies gauge, and because the M602n sits on the network, its status page can be opened from a browser on the same network. Checking there means you can order while the current CE390X still has life in it rather than after it stops.

Is this the standard or the high-yield cartridge for the M602n?

The high-yield one. This is the CE390X, also called the 90X, rated at 24,000 pages — the long-life option for the M602n, chosen so that a networked printer serving several people needs its cover opened far less often.

When the low-toner warning appears, how much printing is realistically left?

Enough to finish ordinary work while a replacement ships, but it is a warning, not a new starting point. On a shared machine the remaining pages can disappear quickly when several users print at once, so treat the first warning as the order signal.

Do I need to change any settings after fitting the new cartridge?

None. Pull the sealing strip, slide the CE390X into the M602n until it seats, and close the top cover. The printer recognises the fresh unit, the supplies gauge resets, and network users see the printer return to ready without any action on their side.

Will this cartridge also cover the other printers on our floor?

Very likely. The same unit fits the M601 and M603 printers and the M4555 multifunction series alongside the LaserJet Enterprise 600 M602n, which is why many offices keep this single part number as their monochrome spare.

What support and returns come with it?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover the cartridge, and the support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if a unit arrives damaged or fades far earlier than it should.
