Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this cyan cartridge carry the number 44469721?

That number is how Oki's supply system identifies this exact cartridge — the high-yield cyan for this printer generation. Sales listings, printer menus and supply labels all refer back to it, so matching the number on your old cartridge or on the printer's supply screen is the surest way to order the right color in the right capacity.

The name mentions the C530DN — is that the only machine it serves?

No, the C530DN is simply the headline model. The same 44469721 cyan is also listed for the C531dn printer and for the MC562w, MC890 and MC950 multifunction machines, which share this cartridge design. The part number matters more than the model in the listing title.

How many pages will it print, and what does that cost per page?

It is rated at 5,000 pages under standard coverage. At $29.85, the arithmetic works out to about 0.6 cents per page — the rating assumes typical mixed documents, so pages heavy with photographs or large blue fills will use the toner faster than pages of mostly text.

Can I replace just the cyan and leave the other cartridges in place?

Yes. Each color sits in its own position and can be changed independently, so there is no need to touch magenta, yellow or black when only cyan has run out. The printer recognizes the swap position by position and carries on with the cartridges already installed.

What is the best way to store a spare cyan cartridge?

Keep it sealed in its bag, flat, and away from heat and direct sunlight — a supply cupboard at room temperature is ideal. Toner is a fine powder that stays stable for a long time when sealed, so buying ahead of need is perfectly sensible with this cartridge.

What happens if something goes wrong with it?

Every cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns under our shipping and returns policy. Your order ships from the closest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and you can reach support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. The rest of this cartridge family lives in our Okidata range.
