Frequently Asked Questions

What is inside the 5-pack?

Five CF281X black cartridges, each sealed on its own inside the carton. Every unit is the same high-yield 81X cartridge rated at 25,000 pages, so whichever box you pull, the printer gets the same supply.

Five boxes, one shelf — how do we track which goes where?

A strip of tape and a marker solve it: note the machine or the floor on each box as it is allocated. In a multi-printer department that tiny label prevents the classic mix-up where one device's shelf is raided for another and nobody reorders.

What storage conditions suit a deeper stock like this?

Flat, sealed, and in a dry room at normal temperature. Keep the stack away from exterior walls that sweat in winter and from any heat source; cartridges stored that way wait their turn without losing quality.

How does the status page help plan swaps across machines?

Each printer reports its own remaining percentage. A quick pass through the embedded web server pages once a week shows which machine will call for a cartridge next, so a box from this pack can be staged beside it before the warning ever turns urgent.

Is there any difference between the first and fifth cartridge?

None. Same code, same rating, same seal. The pack is a quantity format, not a different grade of cartridge, so output stays consistent from the first installation to the last.

What protection comes with the pack?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind it, with the process set out on our shipping and returns page. Shipments originate in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and help is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 5-Pack

Departments running several Enterprise machines — the Enterprise M605dh class and its relatives — buy this pack to keep one code and one shelf for all of them. Five 25,000-page cartridges cover a long season of statements, reports and correspondence without a mid-quarter scramble. The 5-pack is $221.64 in the HP toner cartridges section of the Clever Supplies store.

This cartridge is shared across the family — Enterprise M605dh, Enterprise M605dn, Enterprise M605n, Enterprise M605x, Enterprise M606dn, Enterprise M606x, Enterprise MFP M630f, Enterprise MFP M630h, LaserJet Enterprise flow MFP M630z, LaserJet Enterprise M605dn and LaserJet Enterprise MFP M630f. Desks that print less often run the standard-yield CF281A 5-pack (81A) instead. It also comes as the CF281X single (81X).
