Frequently Asked Questions

We keep several CE390A cartridges in stock for the M603DN — how should the shelf be organized?

As a queue, not a pile. Line the boxes in delivery order, fit from the front, and add new arrivals at the back. First-in, first-out rotation means no cartridge ages quietly at the rear while fresh stock is consumed around it. A delivery-month note on each box end makes the order visible at a glance.

What conditions should the stock shelf meet?

The same as any single spare, multiplied by value: dry, room temperature, out of direct sunlight, cartridges sealed in their bags and lying flat. A stock shelf near a loading door or under a roof that heats in summer will quietly degrade the whole row — choose an interior wall and leave it there.

How many should a duplex-heavy department hold?

Enough to cover one delivery cycle plus one surprise: for most M603DN sites, two to three units. The cartridge is rated at 10,000 pages; if your department burns one in under a month, hold three. The holding cost is modest — $48.70 a unit — against a stopped department printer.

Anything to check on stock that has waited a while?

Once a quarter, walk the shelf: bags still sealed, boxes uncrushed, no water marks. A compromised box goes to the front of the queue to be fitted next and watched on its first test page. Everything else simply waits its turn — sealed storage is patient.

Does bulk stock change warranty coverage?

No. Each cartridge carries its own 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns from purchase. Rotation is what makes stock-holding safe: with first-in, first-out discipline, every unit is fitted well inside its cover period.

When stock runs low, how fast can it be rebuilt?

Orders leave from the nearest of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA and typically arrive within a few working days. Reorder when the shelf drops to your floor — for most sites, the day the second-to-last box is opened. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the shipping & returns page details delivery and returns.
