Frequently Asked Questions

Which cartridges fit the Oki C5900?

The C5900 uses the 43381901 series: black 43381901, cyan 43381902, magenta 43381903, and yellow 43381904. The four cartridges slot into separate drum units and are replaced one at a time.

The C5900 uses LED printheads. Do they need maintenance?

Yes, occasionally. If you see light streaks down the page, open the cover and gently wipe each LED lens strip with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. This restores sharpness without touching the toner cartridges.

Is the C5900 suitable for printing photos?

It handles photo printing well for an office LED printer. Use a photo or heavyweight paper setting in the driver and genuine 43381901-series cartridges for the best color. For everyday drafts, switch to toner-save mode on plain paper.
