Frequently Asked Questions

What is the CE390AJ, and what does the J stand for?

J is for Jumbo. The CE390AJ — sold as the 90AJ — is the extra-capacity black cartridge for HP's heavy-duty mono printers, and this listing bundles three of them. Each cartridge is the jumbo fill, not the standard size.

How many pages does each cartridge in the pack print?

About 18,000 pages per cartridge at five percent coverage. We quote it per cartridge because that is how you will consume them: one working in the machine, the others waiting as rotation stock.

Who is a three-pack of jumbos really for?

Print rooms and facilities teams running the Enterprise M4555f multifunctions or the LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601, M602 and M603 series at real volume. At those duty cycles a cartridge is a monthly consumable, and a shelf spare is the difference between a pause and a stoppage.

How should I rotate the three cartridges?

First in, first out. Date each box when it arrives, load the oldest first, and reorder when the last box goes into a machine — that way toner never sits sealed long enough to age on your shelf.

Do the spares lose quality while stored?

Kept sealed, flat and away from heat, a cartridge holds up well. Storage in a normal office environment is fine; a hot warehouse corner is the thing to avoid. Store the boxes where the facilities team can see the count at a glance — visibility is what turns a stock level into a managed stock level.

What cover comes with the pack?

Each cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty, and 1-year free returns apply across the pack — see the shipping and returns page for the fine print. We ship from Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, with support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This CE390AJ Jumbo 3 Pack

Three 90AJ jumbo black cartridges, each rated near 18,000 pages, for the M4555 MFP family and the Enterprise 600 M601/M602/M603 printers. This is fleet arithmetic: fewer changeovers, fewer emergency orders, and a known shelf position for the highest-volume mono machines in the building. More supplies for these printers sit under HP. The three-pack is priced at $147.58.
