The standard HP 81A fit with a MICR toner fill: toner compounded with a magnetic component so printed characters in the check's bottom line respond to bank scanning equipment. It installs in the Enterprise M606dn exactly as the ordinary CF281A does, with no changes to the machine.

Will our bank clear checks from it without question?

No cartridge earns that promise, because the bank's readers, your check stock and your software all share the outcome. The professional routine is unchanged at any volume: a small test batch first, scanned or reviewed by your bank, and only then the full payment schedule moved onto the printer.

Does heavy check volume wear through it quickly?
