Frequently Asked Questions

Who keeps five of the same cartridge in a stockroom?

IT teams who answer for printers on more than one floor. When every departmental machine in the building drinks from the same cartridge code, a five-pack on the stockroom shelf answers any low-toner call in minutes instead of days, whatever floor it comes from.

Does one cartridge code really cover the whole fleet?

For these machines, yes. The CF214A, sold as the HP 14A, is the single black cartridge for the Enterprise 700 M712dn, M712n and M712xh, and for the Enterprise 700 MFP M725 series. Standardizing on it is what makes a five-cartridge shelf stock simple to manage.

What yield should our asset plan assume per cartridge?

Plan on the published rating: 10,000 pages at 5 percent coverage. Floors that print mostly text will see numbers near that; a floor running dense reports will cycle cartridges faster, which is exactly the pattern a five-pack is sized to absorb.

How do we rotate five cartridges so none ages out?

Store the boxes flat and dry, mark the delivery date on each, and always issue the oldest first. Sealed cartridges keep well for long periods, and simple first-in, first-out discipline means the cartridge installed in month nine is as fresh as the one installed in month one.

What does the five-pack cost?

The pack is $211.01 for five CF214A cartridges. Facilities and IT buyers usually fold it into a scheduled supply order, which keeps purchasing paperwork to a single line for a long stretch of printing.

What cover applies to cartridges issued months apart?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit is covered whenever in the cycle it is installed. Our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST for any unit in the pack.
