Frequently Asked Questions
We run a B3460DN and a B3465DNF — can one 3-pack stock both machines?
Yes. Both machines take the same cartridge, the Dell 331-9807, so a single shelf stock serves the pair. That is the practical benefit of a shared part number across the B3460DN–B3465DNF range: three cartridges in one box become a common pool, drawn down by whichever machine runs low first.
What does this pack bring our cost per page to?
The three cartridges are rated at 20,000 pages each — 60,000 pages for the pack — and the pack is $229.99, which works out to about 0.38 cents per page and $76.66 per cartridge. Against three singles at $88.99 apiece, the pack saves $36.98.
How do we keep track of which machine used which cartridge?
Keep it simple: note the date and the machine on the box end when a cartridge is issued, or keep a one-line log by the shelf. With a shared pool it is the only way to see which of the B3460DN or B3465DNF is burning toner faster — information that matters when one machine's appetite suddenly doubles.
How fast will two shared machines get through 60,000 pages?
Faster than a single machine, obviously — but the arithmetic is the same. Add both machines' daily output together and divide it into 60,000. Two departments printing 300 pages a day between them are looking at roughly 200 working days of supply; at 600 a day, about half that. Either way, the pack turns reordering into a rare event.
Is this a genuine Dell product?
No. These are compatible cartridges — third-party made to the 331-9807 specification, not Dell-branded stock. What you get is the same rated capacity at a lower per-cartridge price, with the warranty and returns cover set out below standing behind each one.
What support do we get if something goes wrong mid-pack?
Every cartridge in the pack is covered by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. A problem with cartridge two does not strand cartridges one and three — each is covered on its own. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
