Frequently Asked Questions

How should we store spare cartridges for our B3465dnf?

Sealed, flat and somewhere cool and dry — a cupboard shelf away from sunlight and heat sources is ideal. Toner cartridges are not perishable in any short-term sense, and a spare 331-9805 stored properly will sit ready for the many months an 8,500-page rating can span. What shortens a spare's useful life is heat and humidity, so keep it out of plant rooms and sunny windowsills.

How long does one cartridge last in a high-traffic spot?

Up to 8,500 pages at standard coverage. On a heavily worked machine — and the B3465dnf typically sees the heaviest traffic in its family — that rating can pass quickly, so the useful habit is to tie reordering to the machine's page counter: when the counter passes the last change by 7,000 or so, have the next cartridge in the building.

What does the toner cost per page here?

Around 1.07 cents per page. The cartridge is $91.20 with an 8,500-page rating, and that simple division is the figure to use when comparing this compatible cartridge with the Dell original or with any lower-rated alternative whose cheaper price works out dearer per printed page.

How do I confirm the B3465dnf's cartridge is the 331-9805?

The label on the cartridge inside the machine will say so. The 331-9805 is the single black supply for Dell's B2360, B3460 and B3465 mono families, this model included, so the code on the spent cartridge and the code on this listing should match exactly — if they do, you are ordering the right replacement.

Is this listing for a single cartridge?

Yes — one compatible black 331-9805 cartridge at $91.20, rated at up to 8,500 pages. If your B3465dnf's workload argues for keeping deeper stock, multi-packs of this same cartridge are listed separately; this page, its price and its rating all describe the single unit.

What warranty and support come with it?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with our support team available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. This is a compatible cartridge built to Dell's 331-9805 specification rather than a Dell-branded product. Orders leave from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA, and the returns arrangements are set out on our shipping & returns page.
