Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this listing named "B2360D-B3465DNF" instead of a single model?

Because the cartridge it sells — Dell's 331-9805 — is not tied to one model. Dell built a whole mono laser family around this single black cartridge, running from the B2360d at one end to the B3465dnf at the other. Rather than repeat the same cartridge under a dozen badges, this listing names the span of the family it serves, with the part number 331-9805 in brackets as the definitive identifier.

Which models does that range actually cover?

The B2360, B3460 and B3465 mono families, including the B2360d, B2360dn, B3460dn and B3465dn. The reliable test is not the badge but the cartridge: if the spent cartridge from your machine is labeled 331-9805, the machine sits inside this range whatever its exact model name, and this listing is its supply.

What does one cartridge yield, and what does a page cost?

Up to 8,500 pages at standard coverage, at $91.20 per cartridge — roughly 1.07 cents per page. That figure is identical on every machine in the range, since they all burn the same cartridge; only the speed at which each machine works through the 8,500 pages differs.

My model sits in the middle of the range — is its cartridge any different?

No. A B3460 in the middle of the family takes exactly the same 331-9805 as the B2360d at one end and the B3465dnf at the other — same cartridge, same rating, same price. The range in the listing name describes the family, not grades of cartridge.

Is this a genuine Dell cartridge?

No — it is a compatible cartridge built to the 331-9805 specification by a third-party manufacturer. That distinction is the source of the saving against Dell's own price for the original, while the fit and the 8,500-page rating follow the original's specification.

What are the warranty and returns terms?

Every cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, detailed on our shipping & returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders are shipped from the most convenient of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
