Frequently Asked Questions

What does this 3-pack do to the per-cartridge price?

It brings it down to $78.87. Three 331-9805 cartridges bought singly would cost $273.60; the 3-pack is $236.61, a saving of $36.99 across the pack. Each cartridge in the box is the standard 331-9805, rated at up to 8,500 pages — the discount comes from buying the quarter's supply in one order, not from a lesser cartridge.

How much printing is 25,500 pages in practice?

That is the pack's combined rating — three cartridges at up to 8,500 pages each. For a department printing around 8,000 pages a month, it is roughly a quarter's worth of toner; for a single machine at 1,500 pages a month, it can cover well over a year. Planning in quarters is exactly the rhythm this pack is sized for.

What does the cost per page come to across the pack?

Roughly 0.93 cents per page, against about 1.07 cents when the same cartridges are bought one at a time. On 25,500 pages, that gap is the $36.99 saving made visible — the kind of figure that justifies the pack on a departmental consumables budget.

Are all three cartridges the same 331-9805?

Yes — three identical compatible black cartridges carrying Dell part number 331-9805. That code serves the whole B2360, B3460 and B3465 mono family, so the pack can feed one machine through three changes or be split across several machines in the family as each one runs dry.

Who should not buy the 3-pack?

A very light user. If your machine prints a few hundred pages a month, a single cartridge already lasts the better part of a year, and three would sit in a cupboard far longer than any supply needs to. The pack rewards steady, predictable volume; occasional printers are better served by the single cartridge at $91.20.

How do warranty and returns work on a multi-pack?

Each cartridge is individually covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — a problem with one cartridge is handled on that cartridge. The full process is on our shipping & returns page, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
