Dell 331-9805

The 331-9805 is the standard-yield black toner cartridge for Dell's B2360 and B3460 workgroup mono laser families — the right choice for moderate print volumes where an extra-high-yield cartridge would sit unused too long. It shares the printer family with high-yield siblings like the 331-9806 and 593-11168.

Clever Supplies stocks the 331-9805 in compatible and genuine OEM Dell versions. Compatible cartridges deliver the same crisp black text at a lower price, and fast shipping means a standard-yield cartridge is always just an order away when the printer signals low.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which number is the high-yield cartridge in the 331-9805 family?

The family spans standard and high-capacity black toner: 331-9803, 331-9805 and 331-9806 cover the capacities, with 1V7V7, 2PFPR, 7MC5J, C3NTP, M11XH and RGCN6 as alternates and 593-11165 and 593-11168 as kit numbers. Check the page-yield rating on the box to identify the high-yield version rather than guessing from the part number.

Can I store a spare 331-9805 cartridge in the garage?

A garage is risky: summer heat and winter cold both degrade toner, and humidity causes clumping. Store spares inside the house or office in a closet at normal room temperature, in the sealed original packaging, and they will stay fresh for up to two years.

The new cartridge prints too dark, can I adjust that?

Yes: overly dark output is a driver setting issue, not a cartridge defect. Open the print preferences and lower the print density or switch from best to normal quality; if only one element (like graphics) prints too dark, check the application's own color settings before blaming the cartridge.
