Frequently Asked Questions
Why does purchasing prefer one 5-pack order over five single-cartridge orders?
Because it collapses the paperwork. Five singles mean five requisitions, five approvals and five deliveries spread unpredictably across the year, each for $91.20. This pack — five compatible Dell 331-9805 black cartridges, 8,500 pages each — is a single $382.03 purchase order approved once. And the consolidated order is also the cheaper one: $76.41 per cartridge against $91.20, saving $73.97 across the five.
What arrives, and how is it received and stored?
One delivery containing five sealed cartridges of a single part number. Receiving is a one-line check against the order — 331-9805, quantity five — and the pack goes onto the supply shelf as one stock item. Store the cartridges sealed and flat, note the arrival date on the carton, and draw them oldest-first as machines call for them; there is no sorting, because every unit is identical.
What figures go on the purchase order?
Unit detail: five cartridges at an effective $76.41 each; capacity: 42,500 rated pages in total; rate: about 0.90 cents per page, against roughly 1.07 cents if the same cartridges are bought singly at $91.20. Total: $382.03. That is the complete financial case for the order, and it fits on the requisition without a supporting memo.
How is usage tracked after the order closes?
With a simple issue log: date, machine, cartridge number of the five. Since one cartridge is rated at 8,500 pages, the log doubles as a consumption record — after the first full cycle, purchasing knows the fleet's pages-per-month and can time the next pack order before the shelf empties rather than after.
Which machines will this order actually supply?
Any in the family that takes part number 331-9805: the Dell Laser B2360d, B2360dn, B3460dn and B3465dn. The requisition may be raised against the B3465DNF — the model this listing is named for — but the stock it buys serves all four models, which is precisely why one consolidated order works.
What guarantee and support sit behind the purchase?
Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in its own right; the terms are set out on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and our team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST — quotations or figures for an approval pack are no trouble.
