Frequently Asked Questions

How much cheaper is each printed page when the SL-M2820 is fed from this pack?

Considerably. A single MLT-D115L at $37.06 puts toner at about 1.24 cents a page; cartridges from this pack work out to $22.27 each, which brings the figure to roughly 0.74 cents. Over the pack's 15,000 pages, that difference is worth $73.93 against buying the same five cartridges one at a time.

Five cartridges for one SL-M2820 - how many months is that, realistically?

At a home-office pace of 300 pages a month, the box is a little over four years of toner. At a busier 800 pages a month, it is still around nineteen months. That sounds like a lot of stock, but sealed cartridges keep well, and the saving is banked on day one.

How does a 3,000-page cartridge map onto the M2820's monthly output?

Think in cartridge changes: one change per 3,000 pages. A desk printing 250 pages a month lands exactly there once a year; a desk at 500 pages a month, twice. The five-pack simply pre-pays five of those changes at the discounted rate.

Can this pack supply a different Samsung printer as well?

Yes. The M2820 is one of many homes for this cartridge: the same MLT-D115L also fits the Xpress M2620, Xpress M2670, Xpress M2820, Xpress M2870 and Xpress M2880FW, and the SL-M2820DW, SL-M2830DW, SL-M2870FW, SL-M2880FW, SL-ML2830DW and Xpress M2830 DW. Buy the pack for whichever machine is busiest and let the others borrow from it.

What does each cartridge in this 5 pack effectively cost?

Divide the $111.37 pack price by five: $22.27 a cartridge, against $37.06 for the same cartridge bought singly. The per-cartridge saving of $14.79 repeats five times across the box - that repetition, not a different cartridge, is the whole of the offer.

What cover applies to cartridges taken from this pack?

Buying in bulk does not dilute the cover. Each cartridge carries a year's warranty and returns free of charge across the same year, so a unit that leaks or streaks whenever it is fitted goes back at our expense. The shipping and returns page sets out the terms; we dispatch from IL, PA, GA and CA, with help on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
