Frequently Asked Questions
What toner does the Oki C9650N take?
The C9650N uses black 42918981, cyan 42918982, magenta 42918983, and yellow 42918984, the same set as the C9650 and C9650HN. Do not mix in the 42918901 series.
My C9650N prints have a chemical smell. Is the toner bad?
A slight smell during heavy printing is normal fuser heat, not bad toner. Ensure the room is ventilated. If the smell is strong or persists with a new cartridge, have the printer serviced.
Can I use C9650N cartridges in a C9650?
Yes. Both models use the identical 42918981 through 42918984 set, so cartridges interchange freely. Match the color slot when installing.
