Frequently Asked Questions

What does the "Type C7" name on this cartridge mean?

Type C7 is Oki's family label for the toner generation behind this cartridge — the supplies family that serves the C9600 and C9800 series. The cartridge itself is the cyan 42918903; the Type C7 name and the part number describe the same item from two directions, which is why your printer's supply list may show either one.

How many pages is the 42918903 cyan rated for?

15,000 pages at standard test coverage. That is a high-yield rating, and on everyday office documents with modest color content, owners see output in that region; pages built around large color graphics will draw the cartridge down faster.

What does the cartridge cost per rated page?

At $101.91 against a 15,000-page rating, the figure works out near 0.68 cents a page — a planning number rather than a guarantee, since your mileage follows the color density of what you print, but a useful one for comparing supplies.

Which printers use this cyan cartridge?

The Oki C9600hdn, C9600hn and C9600n, plus the C9800hdn. If your machine's supply screen asks for 42918903, this is that cartridge.

What are its partner cartridges in the Type C7 family?

The magenta 42918902 and the yellow 42918901 are the sibling singles, sharing the same 15,000-page class, and color sets built from the three exist as well. The whole family is gathered in our Okidata range.

What happens if this cartridge lets me down?

It carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns under our shipping and returns policy. We deliver from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
