Frequently Asked Questions
What does this three-color set refresh — and what does it leave alone?
It refreshes the three color positions only: one cyan, one magenta and one yellow. Your black cartridge stays exactly as it is, because there is no black in this box — the family's black, the 42918984, is a separate purchase for the day it runs out.
Which part numbers am I actually getting?
The cyan and magenta cartridges 42918983 and 42918982, plus the yellow 42918981 — the three color numbers of the C9650 family, one of each. Those are the numbers your printer's supply screen will ask for when a color runs dry.
How much printing does each cartridge hold?
Each color is rated at 16,000 pages under standard test conditions. Because the three ratings are identical, we quote them per cartridge rather than adding them into one flattering total — a page only uses the colors its content actually calls for.
What does the set work out to per cartridge?
$226.79 across three cartridges is about $75.60 each, for cartridges in the 16,000-page class. Compare that with single-color pricing in our Okidata range if you are deciding between restocking one color or all three.
Which printers take this set?
The Oki C9650dn, C9650hdn and C9650hn — the machines whose supply lists name 42918983, 42918982 and 42918981 as their color cartridges.
What if one of the three cartridges has a problem?
Each is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, detailed in our shipping and returns policy. Orders are dispatched from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support can be reached Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
