Frequently Asked Questions
My colors always die long before the black — is this set built for that pattern?
Yes, that is exactly the workload it suits. Color-heavy printing — presentations, marketing sheets, charts — burns through cyan, magenta and yellow while the black barely moves. This set restocks only the colors: six cartridges across 42918983, 42918982 and 42918981, so you stop paying to replace a black cartridge that is still half full.
How are six cartridges shared across three colors?
The box covers all three color positions twice over in total, but the listing does not itemize the per-color split, and we would rather say so than guess. If one color dominates your printing and the split matters, ask support to confirm the makeup before you order.
What does this set cost against buying two three-color sets?
Two of the three-color sets would come to $453.58; this six-cartridge set is $435.10, a saving of $18.48, and the average works out near $72.52 a cartridge. You will find both sizes in our Okidata range if you want to compare them side by side.
What yield does each color cartridge carry?
16,000 pages apiece at standard coverage — the color rating for this family. Dense graphics pull real output below the rating, which is precisely why color-heavy users keep a doubled stock like this on hand.
Which printers does this color set serve?
The Oki C9650dn, C9650hdn and C9650hn. Note the black for those machines, the 42918984, is a separate cartridge and is not inside this box.
What cover comes with the set?
A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every cartridge, as laid out in our shipping and returns policy. Shipments leave from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and our support desk is open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
About This C9650 Six-Color Set
For C9650dn, C9650hdn and C9650hn owners whose color consumption outruns their black, this set holds six compatible color cartridges — the 42918983, 42918982 and 42918981, each rated at 16,000 pages — for $435.10, which is $18.48 less than two three-color sets. There is deliberately no black in the box; the 42918984 is sold separately for when it eventually runs down. Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, shipping runs from IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
