MB480

For solo offices and small teams that still fax, the Okidata MB480 packs a monochrome laser MFP into a desktop footprint. Standard toner is the 43979101 cartridge (3,500 pages); swap in the 43979201 (7,000 pages) to stretch replacement intervals during heavy months.

Frequently Asked Questions

What toner fits the Oki MB480?

The MB480 uses black toner in two yields: standard 43979101 and high-yield 43979201. This monochrome multifunction printer needs only the one black cartridge type.

How is the MB480 different from the MB470 MFP?

The MB480 is the step-up model in the same family — generally faster with more advanced fax and networking features — but both use the identical 43979101 and 43979201 toner cartridges. Upgrading within the family never forces a change in consumables.

My MB480 prints faxes with faded text at the bottom of the page — what is wrong?

Fading confined to one area of the page often means the 43979101/43979201 cartridge is running low and toner is no longer distributing evenly — try rocking the cartridge gently. If the fade follows a regular pattern down the whole page, the drum surface may be worn on one side.
