Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually buys five cartridges in one order?

Offices where the printer is shared infrastructure. Five 43979201 cartridges hold 35,000 pages, and a workgroup B420, MB460, MB470 or B430d can work through that steadily. Buying five at $68.78 — about $13.76 each — replaces five separate orders and five chances to forget.

How big is the saving against singles?

Five singles at $28.54 total $142.70, so the 5-pack saves $73.92, a little over half. Across the pack's 35,000 pages the toner cost works out to roughly 0.20 cents per page.

Can one pack feed several printers?

Yes — that is a common reason for choosing it. The 43979201 is listed for the MB460, MB470 and Oki B430d as well as the B420, so a mixed fleet of those models draws from the same shelf stock instead of each machine needing its own spare.

How should we store four spare cartridges?

Sealed, in a dry cupboard away from heat and direct sun. Toner cartridges are not perishable in any practical sense; the last of the five will print like the first. Just keep them in their packaging so the drum surface stays protected until fitting.

Is this an OEM Oki product?

No, it is a compatible set made to the 43979201 specification and sold under the Clever Supplies label; you can see the surrounding range on our Okidata page. The compatible route is what holds the five-pack under seventy dollars.

What support backs a purchase of this size?

Every cartridge carries a one-year warranty and one-year free returns — see the shipping and returns page for the detail. Orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This B420 5-Pack

Five high-yield black 43979201 cartridges listed under the B420 name: 35,000 pages, $68.78, roughly fourteen dollars a cartridge. It is the facilities-manager's option — stock the shelf once and stop thinking about toner for a long stretch. For a single lightly used printer it is more than you need; for a shared machine or a small fleet of MB460, MB470 and B430d printers it is the pack that keeps them all fed from one box.
