Frequently Asked Questions

Can we do the full cost-per-page accounting on this 3-pack?

Yes, and it is short arithmetic. The pack costs $48.67 and holds three 43979201 cartridges at 7,000 pages each — 21,000 pages in total. Divide one by the other and toner costs roughly 0.23 cents per page, or about $16.22 per cartridge, against $85.62 if the same three were bought as singles.

What exactly is in the box?

Three identical high-yield black cartridges, each sealed and ready to fit in turn. There is no assortment here — the B420 family is a mono range, so the pack is simply depth of the one cartridge your printer uses.

Which printers does the pack cover?

The 43979201 is listed for the MB460, MB470 and Oki B430d alongside the B420 in this listing's title. A shared pack can therefore supply any mix of those machines without separate orders for each.

Our B420 prints in bursts — a quiet month, then a huge run. Does a 3-pack suit that?

It suits it well. Burst printing is exactly when a printer runs dry at the worst moment, and two sealed spares mean a big job never waits on shipping. Between bursts the cartridges sit harmlessly in storage.

Is this original Oki stock?

These are compatible cartridges built to the 43979201 specification under the Clever Supplies label — the range is collected on our Okidata page. Compatible manufacture is the reason the per-page cost lands where it does.

What are the return and support arrangements?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns cover every cartridge in the pack, per our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and the support desk is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This B420 3-Pack

Three high-yield black 43979201 cartridges under the B420 listing name: 21,000 pages for $48.67, about sixteen dollars a cartridge. It is the accountant's pack — the point where the per-page cost drops under a quarter of a cent while the commitment stays modest. For an MB460, MB470, B430d or the B420 itself working through regular office volume, three cartridges is typically the better part of a year's printing bought in one order.
