Frequently Asked Questions

What is the point of buying two cartridges instead of one?

Continuity. The 2-pack puts one 43979201 cartridge in your B420 today and a second on the shelf, so the day the first one fades you are back printing in minutes instead of waiting on a delivery. Together the two cartridges hold 14,000 pages.

How does the $38.61 price compare with two singles?

Two single cartridges at $28.54 would cost $57.08, so the pair saves $18.47 and works out to roughly $19.31 a cartridge — about 0.28 cents per page across the 14,000 pages. It is the first step down this family's price ladder.

Which printers does this pair serve?

The 43979201 high-yield black cartridge is listed for the MB460, MB470 and Oki B430d as well as the B420 named in this listing. One pair can therefore cover two different machines in a small office if both take the same cartridge.

When should I fit the second cartridge?

Only when the first is truly done — pale prints that a gentle shake no longer fixes. Toner keeps well unopened, so there is no clock running on the spare; it is insurance, not a deadline.

Is this genuine Oki toner?

No — both cartridges are compatibles made to the 43979201 specification and sold under the Clever Supplies label, with the rest of the range shown on our Okidata page. That is what brings a two-pack in under forty dollars.

What happens if one of the two cartridges is faulty?

Both are covered by a one-year warranty with one-year free returns; the terms live on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
