Frequently Asked Questions
Which toner does the OKI MB460 MFP take?
The MB460 MFP uses the 43979101 toner cartridge with the 43979201 image drum as a separate unit. When prints fade, replace the toner; when you see repeating defects, replace the drum.
Does copying on the MB460 MFP use more toner than printing?
No. A copy and a print of the same page use the same amount of toner because both go through the same LED print engine. Copy density settings can make copies look lighter or darker, but the underlying toner use is identical.
The MB460 MFP keeps its fax memory when toner runs out. Is that true?
Yes. Incoming faxes are stored in memory and print once you install a fresh 43979101 toner cartridge, so you will not lose faxes during the gap. Just do not power the machine off for an extended period while faxes are waiting.
