Frequently Asked Questions

How long is 35,000 pages of toner likely to last us?

That depends on your monthly volume, and the arithmetic is simple: at 1,000 pages a month the five 43979201 cartridges in this pack cover close to three years; at 3,000 a month, about a year. Each cartridge is rated at 7,000 pages, so the pack is a planning purchase — you are buying your reorder cycle in advance.

What does each cartridge in the 5-pack effectively cost?

$68.78 across five cartridges is about $13.76 apiece, against $28.54 for a single — buying five one at a time would total $142.70, so the pack saves $73.92. Spread over 35,000 pages, the cost lands at roughly 0.20 cents per page.

Which machines is this pack for?

The 43979201 cartridge fits the MB460, MB470 and Oki B430d. If your office runs more than one of those models, the same pack can feed all of them, which is exactly the situation a 5-pack is built for.

Is five cartridges too many to store?

They stack in a cupboard about the size of a small archive box, and toner does not spoil in storage. Keep them sealed, flat, and away from radiators or sunny windows and the fifth cartridge will behave like the first when you finally open it.

Is this genuine Oki toner?

No, these are compatible cartridges made to the 43979201 specification and sold under the Clever Supplies name — see the full range on the Okidata page. The compatible route is what makes a $13.76 per-cartridge price possible.

How are warranty and returns handled on a pack this size?

All five cartridges are covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA, and help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This 43979201 5-Pack

The top of this family's everyday ladder: five high-yield black cartridges, 7,000 pages each, $68.78 the box. It is aimed at the MB460, MB470 or B430d that never really stops — the shared office machine whose toner always seems to die mid-run. At roughly fourteen dollars a cartridge and a fifth of a cent per page, it is the cheapest way to buy this cartridge short of the bulk 10-pack, and it turns toner from a recurring chore into a once-in-a-long-while order.
