Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually needs ten cartridges at once for an SL-M2820DW?

Facilities buyers and multi-printer offices. Ten MLT-D115L cartridges are 30,000 pages of toner - far more than one desktop machine uses quickly, but exactly the scale of a supply cupboard feeding several printers, or one very busy machine whose downtime costs more than the toner does. For a single light-duty printer this box is honestly more stock than sense.

What does the ten-pack do to the per-cartridge price?

It takes it to the family floor: $20.42 a cartridge. Ten bought singly at $37.06 would cost $370.60; this pack is $204.24, a saving of $166.36, and the running cost lands near 0.68 cents a page - the cheapest per-page figure anywhere in the MLT-D115L range. The discount is the reward for committing to volume in one order.

Can one ten-pack serve as the toner stock for several printers?

That is its natural job. The cartridge is common to the Xpress M2620, Xpress M2670, Xpress M2820, Xpress M2870, Xpress M2880FW and Xpress M2830 DW, and to the SL-M2830DW, SL-M2870FW, SL-M2880FW and SL-ML2830DW as well as this SL-M2820DW. One box, one cartridge type, every machine on the platform fed from the same shelf - no sorting, no per-model stock to manage.

How should a stock this deep be stored and rotated?

Sealed, flat, cool, dry - and used strictly in arrival order. Ten cartridges can wait many months for their turn, and toner inside an intact seal handles that wait well; heat, humidity and torn bags are what degrade it. A dated note on the box when it arrives makes the rotation effortless for whoever manages the cupboard.

Across 30,000 pages, what besides toner will the printers ask for?

Drums, in time. The separate MLT-R115 imaging drum is the platform's other consumable; its turn shows as the same mark repeating at fixed intervals down the page, which a fresh toner cartridge will not cure. Even fading, by contrast, is simply a cartridge finishing. Knowing which symptom belongs to which part keeps a 30,000-page programme free of wrong replacements.

How is a cartridge from this pack covered if it fails?

Each one is covered individually by a 1-year warranty and free returns for one year, so a faulty cartridge anywhere in the ten is returnable alone at no cost. The route is described on the shipping and returns page, and support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Stock ships from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA.
