Frequently Asked Questions

My printer is labelled M2020W/XAA — is this its cartridge?

The cartridge to look for is the MLT-D111S, and that is exactly what this is: the standard black unit rated at 1,000 pages for the M2020W line. Match the cartridge code rather than the suffixes on the machine's label and you will land on the right box every time.

How many pages does this give an M2020W/XAA?

1,000 pages at the standard rating. Light home printing — letters, returns labels, school handouts — keeps a cartridge in service for months; heavier document work turns it over faster, as with any printer of this size.

Why did the cartridge supplied with the printer finish early?

Starter cartridges hold a reduced fill so the machine can be sold ready to print. This replacement is the full standard-yield MLT-D111S, so its 1,000-page rating represents a noticeably longer run than the first cartridge gave.

Is there a drum to change on this model as well?

No — toner and imaging parts are one combined unit here. A cartridge swap is the complete maintenance event; there is no separate drum purchase waiting behind it.

What does the toner in this cartridge cost per page?

At $35.90 across 1,000 rated pages, about 3.59 cents a page. Bought in the five-pack of the same cartridge the rate eases to roughly 2.11 cents, worthwhile once the printer's workload settles into a routine.

What if this cartridge arrives faulty?

It is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free within that year; the shipping and returns page explains the process. We dispatch from IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
