Frequently Asked Questions
What does 60,000 pages look like as a planning horizon?
Three 331-9807 cartridges at 20,000 rated pages each give you 60,000 pages of committed supply. For a department B3460DN or B3465DNF working through a few hundred pages a day, that is the better part of a year settled in one order — toner stops being a recurring decision and becomes a line you review annually.
Why does our stores list carry this under a number instead of a printer name?
Because printers get renamed, replaced and rebadged, while the part number stays put. Stocking by 331-9807 means the shelf label, the purchase order and this listing all point at the same cartridge, whichever machine in the B3460DN–B3465DNF range it ends up in. This is the number-first listing for exactly that system.
How does the per-cartridge price step down in the 3-pack?
Each cartridge works out to $76.66, against $88.99 bought singly — three singles would total $266.97, so the pack's $229.99 saves $36.98. The per-page figure steps down with it, to about 0.38 cents across the pack's 60,000 rated pages.
When should the last cartridge on the shelf trigger a reorder?
The moment it goes into the machine. With three cartridges the temptation is to treat the shelf as deep stock, but the working rule is simple: when the final 331-9807 is fitted, the next order goes out the same day. That keeps the reorder point tied to stock, not to someone noticing pale prints.
Is a compatible cartridge a gamble at this volume?
It is a fair question when you are committing to 60,000 pages. The honest answer is to judge the stated facts: these are third-party cartridges built to the 331-9807 specification, rated at 20,000 pages each, and every one of them carries the warranty and returns cover described below — the pack does not ask you to take the quality on faith.
What are the return terms if a cartridge in the pack turns out faulty?
Returns are free for a full year and each cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty, fitted or still boxed. Our support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST; the detail is on our shipping & returns page.
