Frequently Asked Questions

What does 6,000 pages look like as a supply plan?

Three 331-0778 cartridges at up to 2,000 pages each is, for a Dell 1250-series printer, most of a year to well over a year of black printing in one delivery. A desk-side 1250c in a small office typically prints a few hundred black pages a month, so this 3-pack turns toner into a once-a-year decision: one cartridge working, two in reserve, and no emergency orders in between. Offices that print seasonally — tax time, enrollment, year-end — find the reserve absorbs the spike without a scramble.

What does each cartridge in this 3-pack actually cost?

$40.95 split three ways is $13.65 per cartridge, and against three singles at $77.94 the pack saves $36.99. The reason is the ladder this family is priced on: the first cartridge carries the $25.98 single price, and each one after it adds only about $7.49, so by the third cartridge the per-unit cost has nearly halved. Per rated page the figure falls to roughly 0.68 cents, from about 1.30 cents for a single.

Why three cartridges rather than two or five?

Three is the middle gear. Two covers a printer that uses a cartridge every few months; five is for heavier or multi-machine use. Three suits a single 1250-family machine in regular service — enough reserve that a reorder is never urgent, not so much stock that cartridges sit for years if the printer's workload drops. If you are honestly unsure how fast you use black toner, the 3-pack is the low-regret size in this range.

Does one of these cartridges serve every printer in the 1250 family?

The 331-0778 is the shared high-yield black across this Dell family: the Color Laser 1250c, 1350cnw, 1355cn and 1355cnw, the 1755nf and 1755nfw, and the C1760nw and C1765nf all take the same black unit. So if your office runs a 1250c at one desk and a C1765nf at another, this one 3-pack stocks both — a single part number on the shelf instead of a different cartridge per machine.

Is this a genuine Dell product?

No — these are compatible cartridges, made by a third party to Dell's 331-0778 specification, and the $40.95 price for three is possible precisely because they are not Dell-branded. Every number quoted on this page — 2,000 pages per cartridge, $13.65 per unit, 0.68 cents per page — describes these compatible cartridges as sold, and the warranty below is ours, standing behind them in place of Dell's.

What protection comes with the pack?

All three cartridges carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, including the ones still sealed in the cupboard — cover does not evaporate because a unit waited its turn. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page, we answer Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the pack ships from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is closest to you.
