Frequently Asked Questions

What does the 3-pack do to the price of each cartridge?

Three 331-7328 cartridges bought one at a time would cost $114.63; this pack is $77.66, so each cartridge inside works out to $25.89 and you keep $36.97. Across the pack's 7,500 rated pages the toner cost falls to about 1.04 cents per page, against roughly 1.53 cents buying singles. The cartridges themselves are identical — the discount is purely for taking three at once.

How far ahead does a 3-pack plan our toner?

Each 331-7328 is rated at up to 2,500 pages, so the pack holds 7,500 pages of capacity. A small office getting through 500 pages a month across its B1260dn has about fifteen months of toner on the shelf; at 250 a month it is closer to two and a half years. Either way, reordering becomes an occasional calendar event instead of a reaction to an empty machine.

Why stock three of a cartridge instead of reordering as needed?

Because small multifunction machines stop at awkward moments — mid-copy-run, mid-fax batch — and a B1260dnf with an empty cartridge does none of its jobs. With two spares on the shelf the swap takes a minute and the reorder can wait for a convenient day. The pack suits offices that would rather hold cheap insurance against downtime than save the shelf space.

Shelf life — will the third cartridge still be good when we reach it?

Kept sealed in its packaging, stored flat away from heat and direct sunlight, a toner cartridge holds up well over the kind of horizon a 3-pack implies. The practical discipline is rotation: load the oldest spare first, and note the date on the box when the pack arrives. Toner powder does not dry out like ink; sensible storage is all it asks.

Is this Dell's own cartridge?

No — these are compatible 331-7328 units, produced by a third-party manufacturer to Dell's specification for the B1260 and B1265 families, including the B1260dn, B1260dnf and B1265dfw. The $77.66 pack price and the 2,500-page per-cartridge rating describe these compatible cartridges.

What cover stands behind the pack?

Each cartridge in the pack is backed by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — a faulty unit goes back, whichever box of the three it came from. Questions are answered Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, the details live on our shipping & returns page, and orders ship from IL, PA, GA or CA.
