Frequently Asked Questions

What do we actually gain by buying the 331-7327 two at a time?

Two things: a lower price per cartridge and a spare that is already in the building. Bought singly, this cartridge costs $38.21; in this 2-pack the pair is $57.94, which drops each cartridge to $28.97 and saves $18.48 against buying them one by one. Just as valuable, the second cartridge waits on the shelf, so the day the installed one fades is a two-minute swap instead of a delivery wait.

How many pages does the pack hold in total?

Each cartridge is rated at up to 2,500 pages, so the pair represents up to 5,000 pages of printing across the B1260-B1265 range. At that volume the pack's cost works out near 1.16 cents per rated page. As always, the rating assumes the standard 5% coverage — heavy, dense documents will draw the total down.

Who is a 2-pack the right size for?

An office running one B1260dn, B1260dnf or B1265dfw at a moderate pace — a few hundred pages a month — gets a working cartridge plus a reserve without tying up money in a tall stack of toner. It also suits a two-machine office: one cartridge can go into service immediately while the second covers whichever printer calls next.

How should the spare cartridge be kept?

Sealed in its packaging, lying flat, in a dry spot at ordinary room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Stored that way it is ready the moment it is needed. Rotate sensibly — when the installed cartridge finishes, load the shelf spare and let your next order become the new reserve, so no cartridge sits forgotten for years.

Are these genuine Dell cartridges?

No. Both are compatible 331-7327 cartridges from a third-party manufacturer, built to Dell's specification for the B1260-B1265 family. The figures on this page — $57.94 for the pair, 2,500 pages per cartridge — describe these compatible units.

What happens if one of the pair is faulty?

Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit comes back to us on its own merits. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, full terms are on our shipping & returns page, and the pack ships from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses.
