Frequently Asked Questions

Our ML-2525 prints invoices and dense forms all day — will we really see 2,500 pages?

Probably fewer, and that is normal. The MLT-D105L's 2,500-page rating is measured on standard text pages with light coverage. Invoices with logos, shaded boxes and ruled forms lay down more toner on every sheet, so a forms-heavy ML-2525 empties the cartridge sooner — the price per cartridge stays $39.40, the pages per cartridge simply come down.

What is the toner cost for each ream of paper we put through?

At about 1.58 cents a page, a 500-sheet ream carries roughly $7.88 of toner. Put the other way round, one $39.40 cartridge sees approximately five reams through the ML-2525. It is a handy way to fold toner into a per-box cost for paper orders.

Is one spare cartridge enough for a two-person office?

For most, yes. If the two of you print around 800 pages a month between you, a cartridge lasts about three months, so a single sealed spare on the shelf means a changeover never waits on a delivery. Only offices that cannot tolerate any pause at all tend to keep two — this one cartridge also fits several other Samsung models, which makes the spare easier to justify.

Which other machines can that spare serve?

The MLT-D105L is the shared supply for the ML-1910, ML-1915, ML-2525W, ML-2545 and ML-2580n printers alongside the ML-2525, and it also feeds the SCX-4600, SCX-4623F, SCX-4623FN and SCX-4623FW multifunctions and the SF-650 fax machine. Buy the spare for one machine and it quietly covers the rest.

A white vertical streak has appeared on the ML-2525's output — what does it usually mean?

Most often it is a cartridge nearing empty, with toner running thin in one band. Rocking the cartridge gently from side to side can even things out for a short while, which confirms the diagnosis. If the streak survives a cartridge change, the printer itself needs a look; if it clears, you have your answer and your fix.

What cover comes with this cartridge?

Each cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a year. Should anything fall short, the shipping and returns page sets out the steps, and our support team keeps Monday through Friday hours, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
