Frequently Asked Questions

This 3-pack brings the cost to about a cent a page — is that the milestone it sounds like?

It is genuinely the point where the arithmetic changes character. The pack is $106.40 for three Canon FX-3 cartridges — $35.47 each, 10,500 pages in total, which works out to roughly 1.01 cents per page. Below the single's 1.37 cents and the 2-pack's 1.10 cents, the 3-pack is where a fax machine's running cost stops being a line item anyone questions, while still being a quantity a single machine can realistically use.

How much does stepping up from singles actually save here?

Three singles would cost $143.37. This pack is $106.40, so $36.97 stays in your budget — nearly the price of one whole extra cartridge at the pack rate. The saving comes from the same place it always does in the FX-3 (part number 1557A002BA) family: each cartridge in a bigger box is priced lower than the one bought alone, $35.47 here against $47.79.

What kind of office uses three FX-3 cartridges in a reasonable span?

The office that still runs on paper by design: a medical or legal practice receiving faxed referrals and records daily, a logistics desk exchanging signed documents, a dealership or agency with a steady fax habit layered over ordinary printing. At 1,000 faxed and printed pages a month, three cartridges cover about ten months — a sane planning horizon, neither a stockpile nor a scramble.

How should we handle three cartridges so the stock does not age badly?

Keep them sealed, flat and dry, marked with the month they arrived, and install them oldest-first. Toner is dry powder — it does not clog or spoil the way ink does — so a sealed FX-3 waits without penalty. The only real discipline is rotation: the cartridge you install should always be the one that has been on the shelf longest.

Are these new cartridges or refilled Canon ones?

New compatible cartridges, built to the Canon FX-3 fit and 3,500-page yield specification — not refilled or remanufactured Canon shells. Each of the three carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns individually, so a cartridge that fails early is replaced or refunded on its own, whenever in the pack's life it goes into the machine.

Where will the order ship from, and how do returns work if we need them?

We ship from US warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, from the one nearest you. The delivery and returns process is laid out on our shipping and returns page, and our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
