Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the second cartridge in this box cost less than the first?

Bought one at a time, two MLT-D105L cartridges would run $78.80. This pair is $60.31, so each cartridge effectively costs $30.16 instead of $39.40 — a saving of $18.49 across the box. Nothing about the cartridges changes; the discount is simply the reward for taking the spare at the same time as the one you need today.

One goes in the printer — how long can the other sit on the shelf?

Months, without worry, as long as it stays sealed. A toner cartridge is dry powder in a closed housing; it does not dry out like ink. Keep the spare flat in a cool cupboard, out of sunlight and away from radiators, and it will print like new when its turn comes.

How much printing does the pair represent?

Each MLT-D105L is rated for up to 2,500 pages, so the box holds about 5,000 pages of capacity — ten reams of paper. Spread across that volume, your toner cost works out to roughly 1.21 cents per page, noticeably below the single-cartridge figure.

Which machines does this 2 pack fit?

Both cartridges are the Samsung MLT-D105L, made for the ML-1910, ML-1915, ML-2525, ML-2525W, ML-2545 and ML-2580n, plus the SCX-4600, SCX-4623F, SCX-4623FN, SCX-4623FW and SF-650. If two different machines from that list share your office, the pair can be split between them — the cartridges are identical.

Is a pair enough, or should I jump to a bigger pack?

For one printer in steady use, a pair is the natural rhythm: one working, one waiting, reorder when the spare goes in. Offices feeding several machines from the same cartridge family burn through pairs quickly, and for them the larger packs cut the per-cartridge price further. Match the box to your monthly page count, not to the discount alone.

How do warranty and returns work across two cartridges?

Each cartridge in the box carries its own 1-year warranty, and you have a year of free returns on the purchase. Our shipping and returns page spells out the process; support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
