Frequently Asked Questions

How does the flagship machine end up stopped mid-run for want of cyan?

Almost never because nobody was warned — the ALTALINK C8070 reports its supplies well in advance. It happens because the alert belonged to everyone and therefore to no one: each user assumed someone else had ordered the 006R01698. The fix is administrative, not technical — name one person as the supply owner and the stoppages end.

Who should receive the low-supply alerts?

Whoever can actually place an order the day the alert fires — typically the office manager or the person who holds the supplies budget. Route the machine's supply notifications to that inbox, and set the reorder point at the warning rather than at empty, so a delivery window always sits between the alert and the stop.

Is one spare cartridge enough at this level of machine?

For cyan, one sealed spare is the sensible minimum: the fitted cartridge plus one on the shelf means the machine never waits on a delivery. Offices running the C8070 around the clock sometimes hold two. What does not work is zero — on a machine this central, the 006R01698 is not a buy-it-when-it-breaks item.

What arrives when I order this listing?

A single cyan cartridge in its sealed box — this listing is one unit of 006R01698, not a set and not a bundle with the other colours. Each colour for this machine is its own cartridge with its own part number, replaced as it empties rather than all at once.

How far does the cartridge's rating stretch in a front-office month?

It is rated at 15,000 pages at 5 percent coverage, so the honest answer scales with your month: a reception and admin team printing colour letters and handouts will measure its life in months, while a team producing daily colour packs will measure it in weeks. Either way, cyan is consumed by colour pages only — the black-and-white flood from the same machine does not touch it.

What warranty and delivery back this cartridge up?

A one-year warranty, with free returns for a full year, as set out on our shipping and returns page. Stock leaves warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support keeps Monday to Friday hours, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the range is browsable from the Xerox toner page.

About This AltaLink C8070 Cyan Toner Cartridge

The biggest machine in the range deserves supplies managed as deliberately as the machine itself. This listing is the single compatible cyan, part number 006R01698, rated at 15,000 pages and priced at $141.96. Bought on a warning rather than in a panic, and kept one-deep on the shelf, it keeps the C8070 doing what it was bought for. It carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for that entire year.

The flagship takes the same cyan as its smaller siblings: the ALTALINK C8030, ALTALINK C8035, ALTALINK C8045, ALTALINK C8055 and ALTALINK C8070 all use the 006R01698. For the C8070, the companion cartridges are the 006R01697 black cartridge, 006R01699 magenta cartridge and 006R01700 yellow cartridge, each sold on its own.
