Frequently Asked Questions

Our company blue keeps drifting greenish in brochures — where should I look first?

At the cyan level. A brand blue is a precise recipe, and cyan is its backbone; when the 006R01698 is running down, the machine cannot lay enough of it, so blues slide toward green and lose their depth. Check the supplies gauge before touching the artwork — most "the file changed" panics on a ALTALINK C8045 are an emptying cartridge wearing a disguise.

Why does cyan decide whether printed blues look right?

Every blue on the page is cyan mixed with some magenta, and the proportions are unforgiving: a small shortfall in cyan shows up immediately as a colour shift, long before it shows up as faintness. Black can fade quietly; blue cannot. That is why colour-critical work lives and dies by this one cartridge even though three others sit beside it.

Do I swap at the first low warning, or run the cartridge to empty?

Split the work. Internal pages can ride the old 006R01698 to the end without harm. Client-facing pieces — the brochure, the proposal, the exhibition panel — deserve the fresh cartridge, because a run that starts accurate can drift before it finishes if the supply gives out halfway. Swap first, then demote the partly-used unit to internal duty if you keep it at all.

What page rating does a fresh cartridge carry, and what eats it fastest?

15,000 pages at 5 percent coverage. Graphics eat it fastest: a full-colour brochure page can carry ten times that coverage, and A3 doubles the area again. On the 006R01698, the honest planning number for marketing work is a fraction of the headline rating — the rating is a measuring stick, not a promise about your artwork.

Once the new cartridge is in, how do I confirm colour is back?

Print the page that exposed the problem — the same brochure spread or brand sheet — and compare it against a known-good copy, ideally in daylight. Let the machine run its own calibration cycle first, then judge. If the blue is back to the approved sample, the 006R01698 was the whole story; if it is still off, the artwork and settings get their turn under suspicion.

What guarantee and shipping arrangements come with it?

The cartridge carries a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — the terms are written out on our shipping and returns page. Parcels ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and sibling listings for the rest of the machine's colours sit on the Xerox toner page.

About This AltaLink C8045 Cyan Toner Cartridge

On a machine that prints what customers judge you by, cyan is the colour that keeps brand blue honest. This single compatible 006R01698 is rated at 15,000 pages and listed at $141.96; fitted to the C8045, it restores the ingredient every blue, green and rich red on the page is mixed from. A one-year warranty stands behind it, with free returns running the same full year.

The C8045's cyan is shared across the AltaLink C8000 machines — ALTALINK C8030, ALTALINK C8035, ALTALINK C8055, ALTALINK C8070 and ALTALINK C8045 all take the 006R01698. The remaining colours for this model are the 006R01697 black cartridge, 006R01699 magenta cartridge and 006R01700 yellow cartridge, each its own listing.
