Frequently Asked Questions

Why does our purchasing team want one cartridge code for the whole floor?

Because a single code means a single shelf item, a single reorder line and no wrong-cartridge mistakes. The 006R01698 is the cyan across this AltaLink generation, so the person ordering for the ALTALINK C8035 is buying the same unit the rest of the fleet takes. Fewer codes, fewer errors, and a spare that is never stranded next to the wrong machine.

Which machines draw from that same shelf stock?

The ALTALINK C8030, ALTALINK C8045, ALTALINK C8055 and ALTALINK C8070 all run on the same cyan as this C8035. One part number covers the range, which is exactly why this listing exists as a single product rather than five separate ones.

How do we budget the running cost across the fleet?

Work from the rating. One 006R01698 costs $141.96 and is rated at 15,000 pages, which puts cyan at roughly 0.95 cents per page at standard coverage. Multiply by your monthly colour volume and you have a defensible supplies line — with the honest caveat that graphics-heavy departments consume colour faster than the 5 percent coverage the rating assumes.

How long does one cartridge last a busy department?

It depends entirely on throughput and coverage, which is why the rating is quoted the way it is: 15,000 letter pages at 5 percent. A department printing thousands of colour pages a week should think of the 006R01698 as a regular rotation item rather than a rare event, and keep the reorder point early enough that delivery time never decides whether work ships.

How should spare cartridges be stored and rotated?

Keep them sealed, upright, in a cool dry cabinet — not on top of the machine where heat rises. Use oldest stock first so nothing sits for years, and log the swap date on the box end; on a multi-machine floor that small habit is what stops two departments ordering duplicates of the same 006R01698 in the same week.

What warranty and delivery terms apply to this listing?

A one-year warranty backs the cartridge, with free returns available for a full year — full terms are on our shipping and returns page. Orders are dispatched from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST; and the wider catalogue is on the Xerox toner page.
