Frequently Asked Questions
Our C532DN's greens look blue and skin tones look gray — is yellow the culprit?
Very likely. Yellow is the quiet ingredient in a lot of colors: take it away and greens lose their yellow half and turn blue, while warm tones go flat and gray. If black text still prints crisply and only the color balance has shifted, an empty 46490601 yellow cartridge is the first thing to suspect.
How long should one of these cartridges last in a networked office?
The rating is up to 6,000 pages, but a shared C532DN's real appetite depends on what the team prints. Color presentations and marketing proofs burn yellow noticeably faster than invoices do, so busy offices often see the yellow message arrive well ahead of the black one.
What am I paying per page for yellow?
This cartridge is $56.15 for up to 6,000 pages, which works out near 0.94 cents per page. That is the cost of the yellow component only — handy when you are comparing the true running cost of color work against a mono printer.
Is this an original Okidata cartridge?
It is not — it is a compatible 46490601 cartridge. It carries a one-year warranty, and if it is not right you have a full year of free returns, as described on our shipping and returns page.
Can I change just the yellow and leave the other cartridges in place?
Yes. Each color is a separate cartridge, so you replace only the one that has run out and keep using the rest. There is no need to disturb cartridges that still have life in them.
How fast can I get a replacement, and who do I call with questions?
Stock is held in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and your order ships from the closest of those. Questions are answered Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. You will find the sibling colors from the same 46490601–46490604 family on our Okidata page.
