Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I receive when I order this cartridge?

One black toner cartridge built to the Okidata 46490604 specification, rated at up to 7,000 pages. It is the black cartridge for the Okidata C532, and the same 46490604 cartridge also serves the C532DN, MC573 and MC573DN. This listing is the single-cartridge option, so the box holds one cartridge, ready to install.

What does each printed page cost with this cartridge?

At $36.95 for a cartridge rated at 7,000 pages, the toner cost works out to roughly 0.53 cents per page. That figure assumes the standard 5% page coverage behind the 7,000-page rating, so dense documents with heavy black fill will use toner faster and push the real cost per page up somewhat.

How long is 7,000 pages likely to last in a small office?

It depends entirely on your monthly volume. At around 500 black pages a month, one 46490604 cartridge covers roughly 14 months of printing. At 1,000 pages a month it is closer to seven months. Because the rating is generous for a cartridge at this price, most small offices find a single cartridge carries them a long way before a replacement is needed.

Is this a genuine Okidata cartridge?

No — this is a compatible cartridge made to match the 46490604 specification, not an original Okidata (OEM) product. It is built to fit and work in the same printers, and it is backed by a one-year warranty. If anything goes wrong with it during that year, you are covered.

What happens if the cartridge does not work properly in my C532?

You are protected two ways: a one-year warranty on the cartridge itself, and free returns for a full year after purchase. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page. If you want help before ordering, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Where does my order ship from?

We ship from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — so your cartridge leaves from the location that makes sense for your address. That spread helps keep delivery times short wherever you are in the US. You can browse the rest of the range on our Okidata toner page.
