Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this cartridge identified by the number 46490603?

Because that is the part number Oki assigns to the cyan cartridge in this family, and it is the surest way to reorder the exact same unit. The family runs under four sibling numbers — 46490601, 46490602, 46490603 and 46490604 — one for each cartridge position in the printer, and this listing is 46490603, the cyan one. If the number on your old cartridge reads 46490603, this is its match.

How many pages does one 46490603 cartridge print?

It is rated at up to 6,000 pages for the cyan cartridge. That figure assumes standard page coverage, so a run of full-color flyers or photo-heavy documents will use the toner faster than everyday office pages with a logo and a few lines of color.

What does the cyan in this cartridge actually do in my prints?

Cyan is one of the three process colors your printer mixes to build every other shade. When cyan runs low, blues and greens are the first things to drift — skies go gray, teal logos turn muddy, and skin tones pick up a reddish cast. Replacing the 46490603 restores the blue half of the color gamut.

Which printers does this cartridge go into?

It is made for the Oki C532, C532DN, MC573 and MC573DN. Those four models share the same cartridge design, so the one 46490603 unit serves both the single-function C532 printers and the multifunction MC573 machines.

Is this a genuine Oki cartridge?

No — this is a compatible cartridge built to the same 46490603 specification, sold under the Clever Supplies name. It is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, and the returns terms are spelled out on our shipping and returns page.

Where will my order ship from?

Orders leave from whichever of our four warehouses — in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — can get the cartridge to you fastest. If anything about the order needs a human, our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Cyan Cartridge

This is the standalone cyan cartridge, part number 46490603, for Oki's C532 and MC573 machines, rated at 6,000 pages and priced at $38.46 — about 0.64 cents per page at rated coverage. It exists for the common moment when one color gives out ahead of the others: the printer flags cyan, the rest of the set still has life, and you only want to buy the one cartridge that is actually empty. More Oki cartridges and their sibling colors live on the Okidata brand page.
