Frequently Asked Questions

My prints have lost their blues — is the cyan cartridge the problem?

Very likely, yes. When the 46490603 cyan cartridge runs dry, blue and green tones fade first because the printer has nothing left to mix them from. If your pages look oddly warm or your company blue has turned greyish while text stays crisp, the cyan supply — not the whole printer — is the usual culprit.

Do I have to replace the other colors at the same time?

No. Each color in the C532 and MC573 sits in its own slot and empties on its own schedule. This listing is a single cyan cartridge, so you can swap just the 46490603 and leave the magenta, yellow and black cartridges in place until each one genuinely runs out.

How long will the replacement last?

The 46490603 is rated at up to 6,000 pages. At $38.46 that works out to roughly 0.64 cents per page at standard coverage — heavy color documents will land below the rating, light office use can come close to it.

Will this fit my MC573 as well as a C532?

Yes. The same cyan cartridge serves the C532, C532DN, MC573 and MC573DN — the multifunction models use the identical cartridge design as the printers, so one part number covers the whole group.

What if the new cartridge doesn't fix my color problem?

Then the cartridge itself is covered: every compatible cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the details on our shipping and returns page. And if you'd rather talk it through first, support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Is this an original Oki cartridge?

It is a compatible cartridge made to the 46490603 specification rather than an Oki-branded one. That is also why it costs what it does — you are paying for the toner and the yield, not the brand badge.

About This Cyan Cartridge

Fading blues and drifting greens are how a C532 or MC573 usually announces an empty cyan cartridge, and this 46490603 unit is the single-color fix: 6,000 rated pages at $38.46, shipped from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California depending on which is closest to you. The rest of the Oki range, including the sibling cartridges in this family, is collected on the Okidata brand page.
